AUGUST 9TH – RICE PUDDING

Rice Pudding

3 c. milk

1/3 c. long grain rice

1/3 c. raisins

¼ c. sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

¼ tsp. ground nutmeg

Bring milk to boil. Stir in rice and raisins. Cover and cook over LOW heat for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until most of milk is absorbed. Stir in sugar & vanilla. Spoon into dish; sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve warmed or chilled.
